Zoran Jovanović graduated from the Faculty of Physical Chemistry of the University of Belgrade in 2007 as the top student of the graduating class. He was a holder of several scholarships awarded by The Fund for Young Talents of the Republic of Serbia (2006), The City of Belgrade, Secretariat for Social and Children’s Welfare (2006) and Ministry of Education and Sport of the Republic of Serbia (2003-2005). For accomplishments achieved during undergraduate studies Zoran Jovanović has received The Pavle Savić award (Society of Physical Chemists of Serbia, 2009) and Special recognition for outstanding achievements during undergraduate studies (Serbian Chemical Society, 2007). In 2012 he defended his doctoral dissertation.
He has been employed at the Vinca Institute of Nuclear Sciences since January 2007. In June 2023 he obtained the principal research fellow title. Main research activities of Dr Zoran Jovanović are focused on: Interaction of Accelerated Ions with Solids; Carbon Nanomaterials; Pulsed Laser Deposition of Thin Films; New, Alternative and Renewable Energy Sources. Until now he has published 40+ peer-reviewed articles and a number of conference abstracts and proceedings.
